Catching a Sydney Trains service is one of the fastest ways to reach Sydney Airport. Services run directly from the city centre to stations located inside the Domestic and International terminals.
It only takes 10 minutes to travel from Central (Sydney) Station to Domestic Airport Station and 12 minutes to International Airport Station.
Airtrain rail services run between both domestic and international airports and Brisbane (Roma Street) Station, where NSW TrainLink trains begin and end their Queensland journeys.
Skybus services run between Melbourne Airport at Tullamarine and Southern Cross (Melbourne) Station, where NSW TrainLink services arrive and depart.
Sita Coaches operates a shuttle bus between Southern Cross (Melbourne) Station and Avalon Airport.
Travel between airports and stations cannot be booked through NSW TrainLink.
Sydney Trains is the passenger rail service covering suburban Sydney while NSW TrainLink operates Intercity services to the Hunter, Central Coast, Blue Mountains, Southern Highlands and South Coast regions.
If you plan to catch NSW TrainLink Intercity or Sydney Trains services before or after your NSW TrainLink journey, you can pay for the journey at the same time (excluding travel to Domestic Airport Station and International Airport Station). You must carry your NSW TrainLink ticket with you on those services.
Please note it is not possible to reserve seating on NSW TrainLink Intercity or Sydney Trains services.
